Islason.be: growth, pixel by pixel.

CASE REPORT — 2026

For Anais Lason's Flemish marketing agency we built a website you don't just look at — you paint it, solve it and play it. Here's how.

The brief

Islason sells web design, SEO & GEO, outreach and AI-integrated sales — in Dutch and in French. The assignment: build a site that proves what the agency sells. Not a brochure about craftsmanship, but craftsmanship you can stir with your mouse.

One pixel controls everything

Everything decorative on islason.be is built from the same atom: a flat square cell on a fixed grid. Nothing fades smoothly; everything moves in steps, like a retro screen coming to life. On top of that sit large, tight headlines and tiny monospace labels. The tension between those two layers is the identity.

The homepage is a canvas

Move your mouse and you paint pastel cells across the whole hero. Paint over the headline and the letters appear in ink — as if you were developing the typography yourself. Cells age and fade away in three neat steps.

Stop moving and the site takes over

Four seconds of stillness and a small figure starts painting by itself: it nibbles its way across the grid, carries on working at the headline and occasionally stamps a pixel heart. Touch your mouse and it hands control straight back.

Diagrams that work for a living

The four-step plan — Scan, Build, Refine, Grow — gets its own generative pixel scene per step, and beneath the packages a row of cells flows from station to station: input turning into result.

A Rubik's cube as the contact form

At the bottom a pastel-coloured Rubik's cube waits, slowly scrambling itself. Visitors turn it layer by layer (in steps of 18°), ask for a hint — and anyone who solves it gets the first month free. A puzzle as a lead magnet.

Words that have to rank too

An agency selling SEO and GEO cannot hand over a site that only looks good. The blog index gives every article its own pixel cover, and the GEO section argues the case for being found inside ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity — not just Google.

Pricing in the open

Four packages — Maan, Mars, Venus and Cluster — with the price on the page instead of behind a form. The same grid logic carries the table, so the commercial section never looks bolted on.

Under the hood

Everything draws on one shared cell grid — no videos, no heavy libraries. A full NL/FR mirror. Canvases pause when off-screen, and reduced-motion gets still frames. And because the agency sells SEO/GEO: real HTML copy, semantic structure and structured data.
